Project Daffodil: Memorial Daffodil Planting

TIYLO Steering Committee Member Lori Wilson-Arnot has organized a Memorial Daffodil Planting for October 5, 2010 (TO BE DETERMINED AFTER THE VILLAGE OF CLAYTON BOARD MEETING ON OCTOBER 12, 2010), 9am-noon, in the Village of Clayton. Volunteers are asked to help beautify Clayton while memorializing all of those who have passed and had made a substantial… contribution to our community as a whole.

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Gazebo at Cerow Park for planting assignments. Teams will meet and receive the locations within the Village to be planted. You are urged to bring your trowels, bulb planters and gloves. Additional supplies and planting guidance will be provided by George Kittle’s T.I. Property Service. Snacks will be provided by Mary at What’s the Scoop, to be shared after the planting.

Generous donations for the Memorial Daffodil Planting were received from Peggy and Gary DeYoung of Porch & Paddle; Tracy McKain of Creative Edge Hair Salon, Diana and Bill Grater or Grater Architects; and Judy Foster. Phil Deluke of Deluke’s Garden Center and Landscaping has arranged the purchase of 1,200 naturalizing daffodils and a few tulip bulbs.

We urge you to come out and support the beautification of Clayton by volunteering your time on October 5 (THE DATE TO BE DETERMINED), from 9am-noon. For more information, or if you have any questions, please email us at TIYLO@live.com.
