IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!!!
Signups have begun for the Zenda Community Garden, located on NYS Route 12E just outside of the Village of Clayton. The garden will be able to provide locally grown, fresh produce for over 25 families this year. Beyond the knowledge of where your food comes from, gardeners will have an opportunity to expand their social network through collaboration with fellow gardeners, while lowering their family food budgets.
Whether it is a lack of space, time, or know-how, the Zenda Community Garden is the place for those of us who just can’t do it at home. Here, gardners will work together to select plants, plant, maintain, and harvest their produce. the harvests are divided equally between all of the gardeners. Any surplus will be donated to the Paynter Senior Center in the Village of Clayton.
If you are interested in participating in the Zenda Community Garden this year, contact Jake Tibbles at the Thousand Islands Land Trust (686-5345 or jtibbles@tilandtrust.org) or TIYLO’s Lori Wilson-Arnot (767-7391 or loriwilsonlmt@hotmail.com).
