2010 Christmas Masquerade Ball

TheThousand Islands Young Leaders Organization (TIYLO) is planning yet another community event.  TIYLO is hosting our 2nd Annual Christmas Masquerade Ball at the Antique Boat Museum on December 3, 2010 at 8pm.  There will be catered hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and dancing to Fred & the Eds.  Marla of Black Creek Photography will be there to take pictures of couples, groups and friends helping to make the evening even more memorable. A silent auction will help with Christmas shopping, but more importantly, a portion of the proceeds from the cost of admission and the silent auction will be benefiting the Clayton Christmas Fund.

A portion of the proceeds from the evening will benefit local families that are less fortunate.  We will be cooperating with the Sons of the American Legion Squadron #821 in Clayton and the local Boyscout Troop #46 on their annual Clayton Christmas Fund.  The fund helps to provide baskets of food and non-perishable items and gift cards to the grocery store to local families who have been identified as being in need during this holiday season.

“The masquerade part of the Ball, is just for fun” says Melissa Ringer-Hardy, Chairman of the Christmas Masquerade Ball Committee for TIYLO.  With the purchase of a pre-sale ticket, the first 100 people will be given a mask to decorate for the evening.  If you bring the mask with you that night, your name will be entered to win a prize.  Masks are also available at Amazing Occasions in Clayton, Party Rentals in Watertown and several other local locations.

“Having the Ball, is a reason to get all dressed up and enjoy a fun night out, at a beautiful venue, with food, friends and GREAT music.”  The attire for the evening is dressy to formal / suit to tux.  This is an opportunity for ladies to pull out that dress that you have only worn once.  We all have them, bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride, prom dress, or that one of a kind super fancy vintage dress.  And for the gentlemen, it’s anywhere from a suit to a tux.  Jackets are a must.

This is the only formal event in Clayton during the Christmas Season.  “Its’ your opportunity to enjoy a formal night out with friends and neighbors before the hectic hustle and bustle of the Christmas Season is fully upon us.”

Everyone is welcome.  This is open as a family event.  Teens are encouraged to come as well.  Fathers bring your daughters to a formal Father Daughter Dance.  Mothers bring your sons.

Presale tickets are available now at the Clayton Chamber of Commerce or  Bella’s.  The cost is $20/person presale or $25 per person at the door.

We hope to see you there!
