On Saturday April 24, 2010, the Thousand Islands Young Leaders (TIYLO) is organizing a Community-Wide Earth Day Clean-up, followed with an Earth Day “Green Fest” to take place at the arena at Recreation Park. The community will come together to do a community clean-up from 9:00-12:00, which will include earth-friendly activities for all ages. Some of the areas in the community that we will focus on cleaning up will be the following: Recreation Park, Lions Field, The Riverwalk, Hawn Library, etc. At noon, the participants will meet back at the arena for the “Green Fest”, which will also be open to the general public. We will be serving a free lunch to all those who participate in the clean-up. This will be a day full of service and fun.
